Consider the following three questions:
- Is your percentage of market share greater than it was last
fiscal
year?
If you answered yes, you probably don't need marketing help --
you are
using your strategic marketing plan effectively and have the tools in
place
to measure your results.
If you answered no, chances are you should take a look at the
marketing process for your products or services. If you don't know,
you most definitely need to know some information about your
business...chances are you could grow you business easily just by
focusing your efforts into effective marketing tools.
- If your customers were asked about your business, would they
know all
of the services you provide?
If yes, you're doing a good job of keeping your customers
informed, and expansion by salvaging marketing probably isn't your
most effective strategy. Consider diversification or deepening your
channels, combined with a new marketing push.
If you answered no, you might want to consider a marketing
campaign to increase your customers awareness of your products and
services, featuring complimentary services to those already purchased.
If you don't know, perhaps it might be a good idea to survey a couple
of your best customers and ask them if they know what your
business is wand what you could offer them...you might learn a few
things
about what your customers want...and make a bigger sale next time.
- Do your marketing materials work?
If yes, that means you have created measures to track responses
and effectiveness of particular marketing pieces.
If no, why are you still using them? If you don't know, chances
are they could be working better for you, and you could use Active
Marketing's help.
